Helllooooo friends – I’m excited to tell you about mine and Kate’s really fun night out this past weekend, provided to us by the Fearey Group! If you’re looking for a fun event in Seattle this summer and are a woman … read on! I’ve also added where we went to dinner, because it’s the perfect kind of outing to tack dinner onto.
Bottles & Brushes is an event at The Bravern in Bellevue, WA. This is a shopping area to feast your eyes on! There are so many great shops and restaurants, and I will definitely be going back soon to take a better look. I don’t get over to the east side often, so it was great to have an excuse :). The event itself is put on by all women organizations, which I obviously love! Our painting class was directed by Corks and Canvas events – they did a tremendous job at leading us step by step through the process of the painting our masterpieces. I am not a painter, and think my work actually turned out pretty great! Wine tastings were provided by women wine makers in Washington – you’ll receive 4 complimentary tastings with purchase of ticket to the event.
My absolute favorite part about these events? All proceeds go to Dress for Success – an organization helping women rise above their situations by providing them with clothes for interviews and everyday life. You can learn more about them here.
Tickets to the event are $45 and include the following:
- Entry and happy hour
- Valet parking at The Bravern
- Wine tasting
- Logo wine glasses
- Painting supplies and experience
For everything that comes with the night, it is well worth your $45. You can also rest assured because your money is going towards an AMAZING cause.
Dinner after the event:
I’ve been wanting to try Little Brother in Kirkland for ages, and like I said I just never make it over to the east side. So Kate and I decided to go ahead and make a reservation to see what all the hype was about. HOLY CANOLI! This place is good. I’ll be making the trek to the east side a lot more just for this little restaurant. We got the dinner board and pork belly, and it all seriously was to die for. Kate got a French 75 to drink, and I tried their Finn River Lavender Current cider – YUMMMMMM. The pictures I’m going to show you of this freakin’ dinner board don’t even do the thing justice. We couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was – so much so that the guests next to us were probably getting a little annoyed. Moral of the story: GET YOUR BUTT HERE! We’ll be heading over for breakfast in the near future :).
Bottles & Brushes is only having two events for the rest of the summer, so make sure to head over and order some tickets. All proceeds go to an awesome cause, and HELLO WOMEN EMPOWERMENT! Don’t forget to head to Little Brother after to satisfy all of your cravings.
Thanks so much to The Fearey Group and The Bravern for having us!
